CVS Semi Annual Beauty Clearance Sale!

Hello!

A few days ago marked the start of CVS's semi annual beauty clearance sale and since I picked up some things I thought I'd share what I found with you guys! But first let me give you some background on the sale. The sale started November 14th and has no official end date that I am aware of. Nearly every cosmetic brand, if not all of them has at least a few items on sale, so you're sure to find something you'll like. The sales range from 50% off to 75% off. Most items are marked with little pink or green stickers letting you know what's on sale, however people have reported a lot of sale items being unmarked as well at their locations. If you feel like something may be on sale but your not sure I'd suggest scanning it for the price. I also HIGHLY recommend checking out the super amazing Noveau Cheap, who has so kindly made a very detailed post all about the sale and also a complete list of all the spotted sale items! While I was shopping I made sure to go through the list myself. Also if you use Instagram searching up "#cvsbeautyclearance"  is a great way to see some of the deals people scored. Now I hate to be the bearer of bad news guys but unfortunately I must note that not all CVS locations are taking part in the sale, so I'd suggest giving your nearest CVS a call and asking them if they are having the sale or not before making the trip. Also if your CVS isn't taking part in the sale I'd suggest also checking Walgreens, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target etc.before giving up because any place that sells drugstore makeup could be having sales as well!

So obviously my local CVS was taking part in the sale, however it wasn't as great as some of the other sales appeared to be. For example I had seen loads of people on Instagram posting pictures of their dirt cheap Physician Formula finds, so I went with my heart set on picking up a few things from PF. Bad news is when I got there I found out that not a single thing from PF was on sale, needless to say I was disappointed. On the brightside I did find a lot of things I was happy with.

Let's go!

I was excited to see that NYX had quite a few items on sale so of course I rushed to the NYX section first. That's where I found these two lovely lipsticks. These are the extra creamy round lipsticks in the shades "Harmonica" and "Narcissus". "Harmonica" is a frosty, light pink and "Narcissus" is a bright, blue toned pink.

Retail price: $4
Sale price: $2

Lastly in the lip department I found this little baby. I've purchased one of Burt's Bee's 100% natural lip glosses before, and I absolutely loved it so I was very happy to find out that this was on sale! I purchased the shade "Ruby Moon" which is a very pretty berry-red hued color with a bit of pearlized shine. It's a lovely color for Fall, and honestly at the price I got it at it was a steal.

Retail Price: $9
Sale Price: $2.24

Here are swatches of the all three lip products I picked up!

Yay more NYX! I decided to go crazy and pick up some things that might not be my usual choice had they not been on sale. First I picked up one of the Jumbo eye pencils in the color "Pure Gold" which is a metallic gold color, but I'm sure you guys could have guessed that. These jumbo eye crayons are very cool because they have multiple uses and can be used as either eyeliner or eyeshadow. I also picked up NYX's Roll On Shimmer which is another multipurpose item. NYX suggests it can be used on your face, eyes, or body but most likely I'll just use it as an eye shadow for special occasions. I picked this up in the shade "nude" which yes, is in fact a nude color.

Jumbo Eye Pencil Retail Price: $4.60
Jumbo Eye Pencil Retail Price: $2.30

Roll On Shimmer Retail Price: $4
Roll on Shimmer Sale Price: $2

And of course I could not shop this entire sale without looking at any of the nail polishes. There were many nail items on sale at really amazing prices, and I mean AMAZING. That being said I am very proud of myself for managing to walk out with only two bottles of polish. I was able to justify the topcoat because I really did need a new one, and after all it was 75% off! The topcoat is Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail lacquer in "Flawless". The lovely blue polish on the right is "Saved by the Blue" from Wet N' Wild's fast dry collection.

Topcoat Retail Price: $5.50
Topcoat Sale Price: $1.37

WNW Retail Price: $2.00
WNW Sale Price: $0.99

Well that's it guys I hoped you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you decide to check out the sale! Also I know I just briefly went over everything that I picked up but if you would like a more detailed review on any certain product I'd be more than happy to do that!

Leave me a comment, I love reading them. As always thanks for reading!

Milani Sale Haul!

Hi guys, hope it's been a wonderful Wednesday for you all so far! So for today, I have a haul to share with you guys. As I'm sure many of you already know, I love a good bargain. So when I was at Wal-Mart doing on a bit of shopping, what was I more than happy to come across? A huge Milani sale! Nearly everything was on sale apart from their lipsticks and blushes! So I picked up some things. Before this haul I had only ever purchased a nail polish from Milani which I absolutely love! However I've heard so many good things about the brand from beauty bloggers, especially about their blushes! I wanted to pick up their blush in Luminoso but it was sold out darn it! It all worked out though because I'm really happy with what I ended up with! Let's take a look at what I got!

I picked up these three lovely baked shadows for only $2 each! A steal in my opinion! I picked out "lilly white" a fresh shimmery white, "golden touch" a lovely shimmery gold, and "black out" a very deep shimmery black. I haven't tried these out yet so I can't say much about how them but for $2 I think they're worth a shot.

More eyeshadow! So this little baked eyeshadow palette was $3 I believe! This is the "designer browns" palette.I think the colors in this one are absolutely gorgeous. I really wanted to get some nudish brown colors and I think these are perfect. There is a tad bit of shimmer to them but nothing like the first three above. Honestly I'm not the best person to review eyeshadow considering I only a few and I hardly ever wear any. So if anyone else has ever purchased any Milani eyeshadows let me know what you think about them!

This is probably my favorite thing I picked up from this haul and it was only $4!  Absolutely crazy! This is Milani's illuminating face powder in "Beauty's Touch".The packaging is really pretty and I love that the powder is in little rose patterns! However the packaging isn't the only great thing, the product itself is really amazing too. It's a blush, bronzer, and highlighter powder all in one. I love this product because there is so many different ways that you can use it. My favorite way to use it it to simply swirl everything together with my kabuki brush and apply as a blush and bronzer. As a blush it's the perfect color for a natural looking flush because it's so subtle. However if you wanted to you could use each color individually or use it as a highlighter!

Lastly I picked up these three polishes for $1 each! Honestly you can't get any better than that. I had actually had my eye on Sugar Rush for a while so I was really happy when I seen one left on sale! Diamond Dazzle is a pretty clear nail polish loaded with tiny opalescent glitter. Disco lights is a rosy pink glitter polish. Finally Sugar Rush is a cool effects polish packed with little green, orange, white, and holographic colored hexagon shaped pieces! It's best used as a topcoat rather than on it's own.

Total spent: only $16!

I couldn't be more happy with my purchases! I love when you can find a sale like this where the prices are amazing and so is the product! I bought these things about a week ago so I don't know if the sale is still on or not but I think it would be worth it to take a trip to your local Wal-Mart or drugstore and give it a look!

What did you think of this haul? Ever purchase any of these products before? Leave me a comment I love reading them! As always thanks for reading!

Mini Target Haul!

Hi guys hope you are having a magnificent Wednesday! My oh my guys I don't know about your neck of the woods, but where I live it has been incredibly hot these past few days. Record breaking temperatures hot! I'm sure this is what prompted Dora and I to go browsing the clothing section (and makeup!) of our local Target. Yeah it was definitely the weather, not a shopping addiction. Enjoy!

So the order of the day on this visit to Target was most definitely tanks! I actually picked this one out for Dora, hence the cat theme. We just think it's incredibly cute as is any cat themed tank and totally appropriate for this upcoming 4th of July! Also the little x in the back totally makes the shirt. In case you're wondering it's a regular fit not a cropped top!

This tank was Dora's choice all the way! She is obsessed with the lion king!  Let's just say this isn't her first lion king themed top she's bought. This tank is indeed a crop top. Haukuna Matata!

So Dora and I both just fell in love with with these shorts when we saw them! They're high-waisted cream shorts with a pretty cream crocheted pattern overlaying them and a shredded fringe at the bottom. They're just perfect. Definitely check your local Target when you are in the market for a cute pair of shorts. Their shorts are always adorable and absolutely affordable. My favorite combo!

So this was definitely an impulse buy. You know, one of those things you see at checkout and you just throw in your basket? Dora actually picked this one up for only $2. It's a great hand cream, definitely nice to keep in your purse because of the small slim packaging. Oh and the lovely strawberry smell is really nice too!

Gasp another tank top! So this was a first for me because I've never owned a muscle tank! After trying it on I think the fit is really cool and I also really love the single band going across the back of the tank!  This one is a regular fit muscle tank.

So if you follow the blog on Instagram you've probably seen this little beauty already as well as the kitty tank top. If you don't follow the blog on Instagram I highly suggest you do so! I picked this up in the clearance section of target, another area I suggest you search whenever you take a trip to Target! So I picked it up for $4 when it usually retails for $8. It's on clearance because they are changing the packaging on the product not because they are discounting it! The color itself is very sheer, nearly invisible as you will see in the photo below. However what's really nice about this lipstick is that it applies like a balm and leaves a light balmy glossy finish to your lips!

Here's evidence on just how sheer this color really is! I hope you guys can even see it!!! On the plus side though if you ever run out of lip balm I'm sure you can use this and I'll work just as great! Also I'm sure this would show up better on people with lighter skin tones!

I hope you guys enjoyed this little haul of ours! Now let us all go beg Mr. Sun to give us a few days off from this unbearable heatwave! Have a great rest of the week!

What did you guys think of this haul? Own any of the things featured in this haul? Leave me a comment, I love reading them. As always thanks for reading!

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Hi everyone hope it's been a wonderful Wednesday so far! So as I'm sure y'all can tell today's post is all about my recent trip to B&BW!  B&BW is one of those places (Sephora being another) that instantly make me happy once I walk in! I'm literally a kid in a candy store!I got really lucky yesterday and scored a lot of deals so yeah I'm pretty happy. Oh and today's also my little sister's bithday (well actually tomorrow since I'm writing this a day early!). She may or may not have gotten a few of the things Dora and I purchased at B&BW for her birthday! Alright let's get to the haul, enjoy!

Oh you guys! This candle is just amazing. I could stop right there but since that wouldn't be a proper review I'll describe it a little. The scent is just as you'd imagine it, a fresh watermelon lemonade scent. Although I smell the watermelon scent stronger than the lemon scent. That's definitely not a bad thing though! The throw is great too! It only takes about 15 minutes to fill up your whole room with the summery goodness! Trust me the hype is worth it.

I'm going to be completely honest these lipglosses aren't amazing or anything. They are very sheer, pretty much no color at all, with an opalescent shine. They are just okay. My favorite is the Sky gloss I think the smell is lovely, like a soft vanilla smell, in a weird way it kind of reminds me of cream soda! The Air gloss smells just like a green apple jolly rancher to me. And finally the Sun gloss, honestly I don't like the smell of this one at all! I don't even know how to describe it the bottle says "golden magnolia" so I'll just leave it at that.

You can never go wrong with hand sanitizers from B&BW. The packaging is adorable, they leave a lovely scent on your hands and they're perfectly portable! My favorite scents out of the five I choose are definitely "Cute as Can Bee" and "Coastal Surf & Sun". The "Dazzling Diamond" one is loaded with glitter so I wouldn't suggest purchasing unless you want your hands to be covered in rainbow colored glitter. Or if it's for a kid, they'll love it! I picked these up at 5 for $5!

B&BW describes "Velvet Sugar" as a blend of red velvet creme with golden plum laced with a swirl of sugared musk, pink jasmine, and wild strawberries. I think it's a lovely, warm and feminine fragrance. Oh and the packaging is too adorable! All of the travel sized body products were priced on sale for 3 for $6!!!

So the saleslady was really trying to push this one on me! I happy she did though! It's such a lovely scent, perfect for Summer! It's bright, happy and fresh! B&BW describes it as a blend of raspberry lychee sorbet, sun kissed magnolia and vanilla sandalwood.

This scent is a tropical vacation in a bottle! It's such an exotic and fruity scent! Imagine every tropical fruit you could think of stuffed inside these little bottles. B&BW describes it as a blend of sparkling star fruit and ocean kissed frangipani blossoms.

Dora's signature fragrance. B&BW describes the scent as a blend of light as air pink petals and vanilla chiffon icing. It's just such a pretty, girly scent! Definitely one of my favorites too!

Another one of Dora's favorites! Similar scent to Pink Chiffon. B&BW descirbes it as a blend of french tulips and pink champagne. Tres belle!

This was one I've never smelled before until today. I think the fact that a giant green apple was on the front of the packaging made me think it would have a generic artificial apple smell but I couldn't have been more wrong! It does smell like apple, but an actual genuine apple smell with a fresh floral scent as well! Definitely my favorite scent I picked up today!

I hope you guys liked this haul! I'm kind of new to the haul thing and may not be the best at describing the scents so don't be too hard on me haha! There are so many great sales going on at B&BW right now, I'd suggest you all go check out your local store or go online to find the best deals!

As always thanks for reading! Do you own any of these? Would you like to try any of these? Leave me some comments, I love reading them!

October 2013 Beauty Purchases

Hi guys, hope you are having a magnificent Thursday. Okay so I know it probably seems like I say this all the time but I'm so sorry that I haven't been posting very much lately. The next morning, after my last post I woke up with a terrible sore throat which quickly progressed into the flu, it lasted for about a week. Wonderful way to ring in Fall right? On top of that I just finished taking my finals yesterday so I was also busy with studying and turning in late work before the deadline. Now that my schedule is finally relatively clear I thought I'd share with you guys my October beauty purchases. Everything in this post I bought at Target except for the first two items. Hope you enjoy!

I bought this hairbrush at Forever 21. I just thought that the floral print on the back was really adorable and I needed a new brush. There's not much more I can say here besides it does the job. You can find it here.

I also bought this nail polish at Forever21. I'm a sucker for pastel colored polishes and since my lilac colored Essie polish was starting to dry out I thought I'd give this one a try. I've tried Forever 21 polishes before and I liked them so I hope this one works the same. I was also looking for a new mint colored polish, but sadly I didn't find one. You can find it here.

So I am sure that you guys have seen, bought or at least heard of these by now.  Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable balm stain does exactly what it says. It goes on smoothly like a lip balm and leaves a lasting color on your lips like a stain. The color I picked up is "honey" which is a lovely natural pink. Personally on me the color does not show up as much as I'd like it to probably because my lips are too pigmented. However I think if your lips are not very pigmented this a lovely color you can even wear daily for a natural look. And did I mention the smell? It has a minty fresh scent which I personally love! I'd love to purchase this balm stain in a deeper color when I get the chance!

I've been buying liquid eyeliner for so long now when I went shopping for a new eyeliner I felt like it was time for a change. So I went for this creamy pencil style eyeliner. It glides easily on the eyes and does not feel uncomfortable at all like some other pencil or "pencil style" eyeliners. I got it in "midnight master" which is the deepest black this line has. I'm almost positive I will be purchasing this eyeliner again!

I'm almost ashamed to say this but this is only the second make-up brush that I've ever purchased. Other than this brush I only own a foundation brush that I purchased at Sephora when I purchased my MUF foundation. The sales lady convinced me I needed it,but I'm not complaining. Honestly I don't know how I managed to live without it, it was a really great investment. However brushes from Sephora can get quite pricey so when I thought about buying a kabuki brush I thought I'd start with something cheap and then if that doesn't work out I'll probably end up buying one from Sephora as well. I haven't used this brush yet so I can't say much yet. All I can say is it feels really soft and I haven't noticed any fall out so far. I've heard some pretty good things about elf brushes so I hope this one lasts for awhile!

When I picked up my kabuki brush I seen this blush/bronzer duo and remembered a review I had read about it on Alexandra's blog. She said some pretty good things about it, so I figured why not try it out, afterall it was only $3.  I purchased this duo in the color "St. Lucia" which has been called a cheap but decent dupe of NARS "Orgasm" blush and "Laguna" bronzer many times. However since the NARS duo costs around $40, there is definitely a huge price difference. I haven't used it yet but the blush and bronzer both have a slight shimmer and are in lovely colors. I'm really excited to try this one out!

Last but definitely not least, Pacifica's "Indian Coconut Nectar" body butter. Oh my goodness you guys I wish smell-o-vision was a real thing. I just want you guys to know how incredible this stuff smells. To put it in the simplest of terms, it smells like Summer. It has a lovely coconut and vanilla scent that in a way reminds me of the smell of sunblock and the beach and all of that good stuff. This is great because even though my favorite seasons are fall and winter I just love using fruity, floral summer scents all year long. Also not only does this lotion smell incredible it's also very moisturizing, which is what a good lotion should be. It's also 100% vegan and cruelty free and a portion of the proceeds go to people in need of clean water. I would definitely recommend purchasing this lotion and other products from Pacifica, because they all smell so lovely.

Let me know what you guys thought of this post! Have you ever tried any of these products? If so what did you think of them?
